Lindsay Itkin strongly believes employees should receive a fair day’s pay for a hard day’s work and that individuals responsible for causing damage to others should be forced to answer for their actions. This strongly held conviction motivates her when representing unpaid employees as a lawyer at Josephson Dunlap. Lindsay handles cases involving wage and hour violations on an individual and class action basis in order to recover unpaid wages and benefits for employees whose employers have failed to pay them in accordance with state and federal law.
Lindsay attended the University of Texas at Austin where she received a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations. Lindsay then attended law school at Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law. While completing her law studies, she worked as a summer associate at a prominent personal injury law firm, where she realized her passion for using her law degree to help others. Lindsay graduated law school Cum Laude and joined the law firm of Walters Balido & Crain LLP as an associate attorney.
Lindsay then joined the Berfort Law Firm, P.C. where she helped secure a $2.205 million verdict – a verdict ranked by Texas Lawyer as one of the Top Verdicts of 2012 – for a client who sustained PTSD after a truck accident in Brazoria County, Texas. In 2014, Lindsay joined Fibich Leebron Copeland Briggs & Josephson where she met Michael Josephson and Andrew Dunlap. After spending several years dedicated to helping employees recover their hard earned wages, Lindsay decided to join Michael and Andrew at their newly formed Josephson Dunlap in March 2017.
Committed to helping others, Lindsay has successfully and effectively represented thousands of employees. Her work has been recognized by Super Lawyers where she has been named a Texas Rising Star from 2014 through 2017.
In addition to being licensed to practice law in Texas, Lindsay is also licensed in all federal courts in Texas, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma. Lindsay is an active member of the American Association for Justice, the Texas State Bar Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the Houston Trial Lawyers Association.
