Carl A. Fitz devotes his practice to fighting for workers’ rights to hard-earned wages. Focusing on class and collective actions, Carl represents employees seeking recovery from unpaid overtime, minimum wage violations, and other wage and hour violations. Carl believes that the best way to enforce the rights of workers and employees is to make it expensive for corporations to violate them.
Carl graduated cum laude from the University of Houston Law Center. During law school, Carl completed a judicial externship with Justice Michael Massengale of the Texas First Court of Appeals. Carl also served as an intern for the Public Law Group of Harris County Attorney’s Office. At the Law Center, Carl was Vice-Chair of the Moot Court Team and Senior Articles Editor of the Houston Journal for International Law. After law school, Carl served as a contributing author to the American Bar Association Fair Labor Standards Act Midwinter Report.
Carl is admitted to practice in all Texas state courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, the United States District Court for District of Colorado, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
