Josephson Dunlap has filed a new claim on behalf of a Financial Access Registration Associate at West Virginia Medical Corporation filed a complaint alleging that West Virginia Medical engaged in willful and reckless violations of the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act (PMWA) and the Wage Payment and Collection Law (WPCL). The lawsuit claims that WVUM knowingly failed to pay overtime wages, and all earned wages to Leggett and the Putative Class Members, disregarding their obligations under the PMWA and WPCL. Seeking class action status, the lawsuit seeks unpaid wages, penalties, liquidated damages, attorney's fees, and other appropriate relief under the PMWA and WPCL. The plaintiffs contend that WVUM's actions deprived them of wages they were entitled to and that the company's failure to pay overtime wages and all earned wages was neither reasonable nor made in good faith.
